Once we have kissed the summer goodbye on Labor Day, we immediately find ourselves met with rapidly dropping temperatures and immersed in our children’s jam-packed school schedules! But whether or not you’re a summer lover at heart, or a fall/winter enthusiast, I’m sure we all have one thing in common—an appreciation for fall fashion. We’ve probably all found ourselves scouring the Internet, or flipping through the latest issue of Vogue for the hottest styles the fall/winter season brings. As you start to make room in your closet for the best fall finds, consider some of the pieces I’m crushing on this season.
Florals- This fall, it’s all about the floral dress. Make sure to buy one, or two… Ok, or three, like this one from Givenchy.
Red– Red was IN this spring and now we’re lucky to have it back for fall, which is an easier time to incorporate it into your wardrobe in my opinion. Shades range from bright red to rich burgundy this season so take your pick!
Faux Fur- I’m not opposed to sporting some real fur here and there, but faux fur is an amazing, on-trend alternative. Check out this bomber from Mother, one of my favorite picks this season!
Slouchy Boots- Leather slouchy boots are back and better than ever, especially when paired with a chic fall skirt! I am kicking myself now for consigning my last pair of these! Just goes to show all trends really do come back.
Wearable Expressions– If you were a huge fan of the expressive graphic T’s that were most popular during spring and summer, bring this same trend into your winter wardrobe with an expressive bag instead. Personally, I love the many stylish options Gucci has to offer.
Sock Boots– The sock boot is here to stay and I couldn’t be more thrilled. One word—Amazing! I absolutely love these ones from Gianvito Rossi.
Hoop Earrings- Hoops are always in, and right now they’re being seen on everyone, especially in gold! Channel your inner J-Lo, make a statement, and throw on a larger hoop. For a more subtle look opt for a smaller hoop. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
Mad about Plaid– Who doesn’t love plaid as the weather turns? Right now, plaid is very in. From shirts, to pants, to bags, you will see it everywhere. Plaid is definitely a trend that I will be rocking from head to toe this season!
Velvet– Back for another season, I’ll be pulling out what I bought last year- and adding to my collection!
I’ll be wearing this Velvet Jacket from last year again!
