This past Friday a friend and I attended a great event hosted by KD Hamptons and Kathy Reilly for Armarium at Barron’s Cove in Sag Harbor. Armarium has run a pop up shop here at Barron’s Cove for the past two weeks. We tried on clothes, drank Rosé Wine and talked with new friends. I can get used to starting the weekend this way!
Armarium is a luxury service that rents high end clothes, jewelry and bags. These stylish wears make high end statement pieces accessible without the investment in a top dollar item that might only be worn once. Armarium was started by Alexandra Lind Rose and Trisha Gregory, both accomplished veterans of the fashion world. Their inspiration came from celebrity stylists who worked with top fashion houses and outfitted their clients for events and parties. Their idea was to bring this high end access to the every-day woman.
They work with over 400 stylists across the country to help their clients customize a great look for that special event. The Armarium team makes this easy, whether it’s a visit to their NYC showroom on 52nd and 5th or a virtual visit via their website and mobile application where you can browse their offerings and save the ones you love.
Browsing the racks at the Barron’s Cove Store, there were the most amazing pieces from Missoni, Prabal Gurung, Peter Pilotto, and J Mendel. Bags were by Edie Parker, Judith Leiber, Jimmy Choo among others. There is also great jewelry to finish your look. I tried on a dress by LaDoubleJ paired with a bag from Rauwolf- a look that I absolutely loved. I immediately went to the app to save the outfit for a future event. I also tried a Peter Pilotto embellished dress that is perfect for day to night, especially as we move into the fall.
I ran into the Armarium crew again at Super Saturday. All of their beautiful dresses, bags and jewelry were on display. Trisha and her Armarium “Armi” are amazing- so nice and very helpful. They really want to make you look and feel your best, and to give you the full Armarium experience.
I can’t wait for the invites to start rolling in this fall, so I can call on my new friends at Armarium for some styling help and dazzle in these spectacular pieces!
